Hassan, Ali and Alistair created one of the first cloud cost management solutions in the market in 2012. This product was acquired by RightScale, where they led the full platform’s cloud cost management product suite. This product suite was then acquired by Flexera and became the basis of the Flexera FinOps solution, which is currently a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant.
Fun fact — Ali has a PhD in cloud cost modelling. This is one of the key building blocks of the Infracost solution, where over 10 million prices from AWS, Azure and GCP are modelled.
